The Solo Mom Reset
What it is and why you need it
I’m Brittany- balancer of many hats! Ohio homeschooling mom of 2 girls, wife of 10 years, Disney travel agent, Disney content creator, and organizer of life for my family (if you know, you know). I took my first solo mom trip to Disney World in March of 2023 and it truly changed my life.. It was the reset I needed. I go to Disney World every single month and I want to show moms they can take time for themselves too!
Why every mom deserves a solo trip

Whether it’s a quick weekend getaway with friends, a solo day trip with no hotel, or a single park day, taking time for yourself at Walt Disney World can be surprisingly refreshing. There’s something special about wandering down Main Street with nowhere to be, riding your favorite attraction without compromise, or simply enjoying a quiet cup of coffee (preferably Starbies) while soaking in the atmosphere. If relaxation is the goal, consider a resort where you’ll enjoy spending downtime. Deluxe resorts often have beautiful lobbies, restaurants, and peaceful walking paths, while value resorts can be perfect if you’re planning to spend most of your time in the parks.
Solo Disney Mom Guide
One of the biggest perks of solo travel is flexibility. Skip the packed itinerary and leave room for spontaneous rides, shows, or simply sitting on a bench with your favorite Disney snack.
Some of the best solo moments include:
-
Watching fireworks from a quiet spot.
-
Resort hopping.
-
Exploring World Showcase at your own pace.
-
Enjoying a table-service meal without rushing.
-
Browsing gift shops without anyone saying, “Can we go now?”
No diaper bag. No extra snacks. No emergency toys. A small backpack or belt bag with the essentials is often all you need. Because being a great mom doesn’t mean putting yourself last, sometimes the most magical thing you can do is give yourself permission to take a break, recharge, and create memories that are entirely your own. And trust me—Disney is the best place to reset
